Life Is a Journey
We all go through pain, love, difficulty, happiness, struggle, hope… and all of these experiences shape us and create the story of our lives.
More than 2000 years ago, a man named Jesus journeyed through this life.
He experienced everything we experience, but His response was different from everyone else.
He created a path of peace, hope, and meaning for others to follow. He had a unique destination in mind, and he was intentional about the journey.
Jesus knew that today shapes tomorrow, and showed His followers that without learning and growing today, we can’t be ready for tomorrow.
Our Story
Life Is a Journey

He experienced everything we experience, but His response was different from everyone else.
He created a path of peace, hope, and meaning for others to follow. He had a unique destination in mind, and he was intentional about the journey.
Jesus knew that today shapes tomorrow, and showed His followers that without learning and growing today, we can’t be ready for tomorrow.
As Christians, we know that Jesus is alive and working in the world. We believe He is ready and willing to journey with us.
That journey is what we call “life along the way” — walking with Jesus each day, learning from Him, and letting Him help us learn, grow, feel, and experience a greater life. The fact is, Jesus mapped out this plan in the Gospels — Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John and the first chapter of Acts. And we created the four Life Along the Way devotionals to capture the essence of Jesus’ life and ministry. Each devotional book takes a section of His life, as told by those closest to Him, and explores it for the lessons Jesus shared. Each is 90 days, though you can go at your own pace, and it’s okay if you get behind or skip ahead. The idea is simply that you’re going to get to know the journey of Jesus, then allow His life to shape and direct your own.

Whether you’ve been in the church your whole life, you’re a curious skeptic, or you find yourself somewhere in between, we know that exploring the journey Jesus had will help you focus on the life He lived, and give you wisdom for the journey. As you get to know Him and grow into Him, you’ll be transformed simply by spending time with Him.
Philippians 1:6 says, “I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns” (NLT). So as you join us in this journey, our hope is that you will love Jesus, and love like Jesus. It’s time to hit the road!

Yes, we have developed “Rest Stops” for each week of your journey. These short videos summarize a portion of the devotionals from the previous seven days. They are housed in our Servant School online learning platform. While you are there, take a look at all of the courses offered by some of the greatest teachers on a variety of topics. We currently have the videos for Jesus With Us and plan to continue with the other three books in the future.
